Act of Devotion and Prayer of Deliverance

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? For You are my lamp, Lord, and the Lord illuminates my darkness. It is you who light my lamp; the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness. The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him. Salvation belongs to the Lord; your blessing be on your people! The Lord will also be a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. The Lord is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed. In God, whose word I praise, in God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? In God I trust; I am not afraid. On God rests my deliverance and my honor; my mighty rock, my refuge is in God. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; he bestows favor and honor. No good thing does the Lord withhold from those who walk uprightly. With the Lord on my side, I do not fear. The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation. O Lord, be gracious to us; we wait for you. Be our arm every morning, our salvation in the time of trouble. Soon people, the sun shall no longer be your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you by night, but the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun shall no more go down or your moon withdraw itself, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of mourning shall be ended. But I with the voice of thanksgiving will sacrifice to the Lord; what I have vowed I will pay. Deliverance belongs to the Lord!
One thing I asked of the Lord; this I seek: to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple. In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears. Surelygoodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. O Lord, I love the house in which you live and the place where your glory dwells. Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings! Blessed is the one you choose and bring near, to dwell in your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, the holiness of your temple! How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts! My soul longs, indeed, it faints, for the courts of the Lord, my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God. Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!
For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock. I will be hidden from the scourge of the tongue and shall not fear destruction when it comes, which the Lord has reserved for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war. You, O Lord, will protect us; you will guard us from this generation forever. Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings. In the shelter of your presence, you hide them from human plots; you hold them safe under your shelter from contentious tongues. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. Call on the Lord in the day of trouble; he will deliver you, and you shall glorify him. You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty. It will serve as a pavilion, a shade by day from the heat and a refuge and a shelter from the storm and rain.
Now my head shall be lifted above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord. I will sing to the Lord, for he triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea. Delight yourself in the Almighty and lift your face to God. You, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts my head. I will sing to the Lord because he has dealt bountifully with me. You delivered me from my enemies; indeed, you exalted me above my adversaries; you delivered me from the violent. Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre; make melody to him with the harp of ten strings! Offer God a sacrifice of thanksgiving and fulfill your vows to the Most High. With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to you; I will give thanks to your name, O Lord, for it is good. It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High. Let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and tell of your deeds in songs of joy! I will offer you the sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the Lord. Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; make melody to our God on the lyre! Address one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me! Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You gave me relief when I was in distress. Be gracious to me and hear my prayer! Know that the Lord has set apart the faithful for himself; the Lord hears when I call him. O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch. In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears. Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me! O Lord, be my helper! Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear to my cry; do not hold your peace at my tears. For I am your passing guest, an alien, like all my forebears. Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and he hears my voice. Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer. Hear my voice according to your steadfast love; O Lord, according to your justice, give me life. O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy! Listen and hear my voice; pay attention and hear my speech.
You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.” Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually! Such is the company of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!
Do not hide your face from me. Do not turn your servant away in anger, you who have been my help. Do not cast me off; do not forsake me, O God of my salvation! The God of my father who will help me, by the Almighty who will bless us with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that crouches beneath, blessings of the breasts and of the womb. Because the Lord your God is a merciful God, he will neither abandon you nor destroy you; he will not forget the covenant with your ancestors that he swore to them. Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the shield of your help and the sword of your triumph! Your enemies shall come fawning to you, but you shall tread on their backs. The Lord lives! Blessed be my rock and exalted be the God of my salvation. For he has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, and he has not hidden his face from him, but has heard, when he cried to him. They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from the God of their salvation. For the Lord loves justice; he will not forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God. Do not hide your face from your servant, for I am in distress—make haste to answer me. The Lord will not forsake his people; he will not abandon his heritage; do not hide your face from me in the day of my distress! Incline your ear to me; answer me speedily in the day when I call! I will keep your statutes; do not forsake me! Answer me quickly, O Lord; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me, or I shall be like those who go down to the Pit.
