I Lift My Eyes to the Hills – Psalm 121

I lift my eyes to the hills—from where will my help come? To You I lift my eyes, O You who are enthroned in the heavens! On the holy mount stands the city He founded. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, His holy mountain. Lift your eyes on high and see: who created these? He who brings out their host by number, calling them all by name. By the greatness of His might and because He is strong in power, not one is missing.
My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. He set the earth on its foundations, so that it should never be moved. May you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth! Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. May He send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion!
He will not let your foot be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. He will guard the feet of His faithful ones, but the wicked shall be cut off in darkness. The Lord protects the faithful and keeps them alive; they are called blessed in the land; the Lord does not give them up to the will of His enemies. O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of His saints; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked. He has kept our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip. Then you will walk on your way securely, and your foot will not stumble, for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.
He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.
The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shadow at your right hand. For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish. I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. They who dwell in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. The Lord will cover you with his pinions, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and buckler. For the Lord has been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in their distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat.
The sun shall not strike them by day nor the moon by night. They will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day. They shall not hunger or thirst; neither scorching wind nor sun shall strike them, for He who has pity on them will lead them, and by springs of water will guide them. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat.
The Lord will keep you from all evil; He will keep your life. No evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. On their hands the angels will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of His saints; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked. The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time on and forevermore. The Lord shall go out before them and come in before them; the Lord shall lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the Lord may not be as sheep that have no shepherd. Blessed shall you be when you come in and blessed shall you be when you go out. We will bless the Lord from this time forth and forevermore. Praise the Lord!
